Kagome takes a bath in the freezing cold river near Keade’s village. Inu Yasha is caught watching and taken care of with a “Sit Boy”. Waiting for her own clothes to dry Kagome dons the clothes of a miko. To Inu Yasha, she looks painfully like Kikyo. Keade leaves the two alone to go and attend to a sick girl back at the village. Inu Yasha tells Kagome to take off her clothes and she brains him with a large rock. An argument ensues and Kagome gathers up her things and heads for the well alone.
Upon arriving at the well, Kagome is attacked by a new demon for the rest of the jewel shards. Yura of the hair has one shard and wants the rest of the jewel. During the altercation Kagome falls into the well and is sent home.
Meanwhile in the village, Inu Yasha fights the villagers under Yura’s hair control to protect Keade. He takes her and flees the village after a struggle with the invisible hair. When they reach safety Keade tells Inu Yasha he must find Kagome to fight this new demon because Kagome can see the hair. Inu Yasha ½ buries ½ hides Keade and goes off on search of Kagome.
